Hypnotherapy for Children

Supporting Your Child’s Well-Being

Every child faces challenges as they grow, whether it’s worries about school, difficulties making friends, or emotional struggles that seem hard to explain. As parents, it can be heart-breaking to watch your child feel anxious, frustrated, or low in confidence – and you may feel unsure how best to help.

At Reset my Mind, Rahul offers a gentle and effective way to support your child’s emotional well-being through hypnotherapy. Using safe, child-friendly techniques, he helps children unlock their natural strengths, overcome fears, and build resilience – all in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Whether your child is dealing with anxiety, behavioural issues, or sleep troubles, hypnotherapy can provide lasting tools to help them feel calmer, more confident, and ready to enjoy life to the fullest.

How Hypnotherapy Can Help Children

Hypnotherapy for children and teenagers is a gentle, effective way to help them overcome emotional and behavioural challenges. Children naturally drift into hypnotic states during activities like daydreaming or imagining—this makes them especially receptive to hypnotherapy, which feels natural and easy for them.

During sessions, Rahul explains how the brain works in a fun and engaging way, helping your child feel comfortable and involved. Through a combination of hypnosis, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and interactive techniques, he works with your child both consciously and subconsciously to encourage positive change.

Hypnotherapy can help your child to:

  • Reduce anxiety, panic, and stress
  • Overcome fears and phobias
  • Improve sleep and relaxation
  • Build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Address behavioural challenges (such as anger or attention difficulties)
  • Let go of unhelpful habits like bedwetting or sugar cravings
  • Develop positive coping skills for everyday life

Sessions are completely safe and non-invasive. There’s no medication or medical intervention involved—just proven techniques designed to work with your child’s natural ability to learn and grow. Your child remains fully aware and in control at all times, and sessions are tailored to suit their needs, pace, and comfort.

Common Issues Hypnotherapy Can Address

Children face a wide range of challenges as they grow and develop. Hypnotherapy offers a gentle and effective way to help them manage these difficulties by working with the subconscious mind to encourage positive change.

Some of the most common issues I work with include:

  • Anxiety and Fears: Helping your child manage worries, separation anxiety, school-related stress, and general feelings of unease.
  • Bedwetting: Supporting your child to overcome bedwetting, which can be a source of frustration and embarrassment as they get older.
  • Behavioural Difficulties: Addressing challenges like anger, tantrums, attention issues, and impulsive behaviours both at home and at school.
  • Low Confidence and Self-Esteem: Helping your child build a stronger sense of self-worth and belief in their abilities.
  • Sleep Problems: Improving sleep patterns and helping children settle more easily at bedtime, leading to better rest and well-being.
  • Phobias: Tackling specific fears, such as fear of the dark, animals, or social situations, which can hold children back.
Social Challenges and Bullying: Supporting children who struggle to make friends or who have experienced bullying, helping them rebuild confidence and emotional resilience.
  • Other Emotional Struggles: From habits like nail-biting and sugar cravings to feelings of sadness, frustration, or overwhelm, hypnotherapy can be tailored to a wide range of needs.

If your child is facing challenges that aren’t listed here, please get in touch—I am happy to discuss how hypnotherapy might be able to help.

What to Expect – How It Works

We understand that trying something new can feel daunting, especially when it involves your child. That’s why we ensure the process is clear, supportive, and tailored to your child’s comfort and needs

1. Initial Parent Consultation

We start with an in-depth consultation with you (the parent or guardian) to fully understand your child’s challenges, goals, and unique circumstances. This is also a chance for you to ask questions and gain clarity about how hypnotherapy works and what outcomes you can realistically expect.

2. Building Trust with Your Child

Before any hypnotherapy takes place, we focus on building rapport with your child to ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and confident working with me. Trust is key to making the sessions effective.

3. Engaging, Child-Friendly Sessions

Each session is designed to be relaxed and positive. We explain how the brain works in a fun and interactive way to help your child understand what we’re doing and why. Using praise, encouragement, and gentle guidance, we work with your child in a way that feels natural and non-threatening.

4. The Hypnosis Process

When your child is ready, we move into the hypnosis part of the session. This may involve:

  • Guided imagination exercises
  • Listening to a calming story
  • Interactive tasks that encourage focus and relaxation

Your child remains aware, comfortable, and in control at all times.

5. Parent Participation

Parents are welcome to stay in the room during sessions if you or your child prefer, or you can step out once your child feels at ease—it’s completely your choice.
